What is Claude for Small Business?
Claude for Small Business is a package of connectors and ready-to-run workflows that you switch on inside Claude Cowork, the part of the Claude desktop app that carries out multi-step work. Anthropic announced it on May 13, 2026. It is not a separate app or subscription: it is a plugin for a Claude plan you already have.
The package covers six areas: finance, operations, sales, marketing, HR and customer service. Anthropic's examples include an invoice chaser, a margin analyzer, a month-end prepper, a tax-season organizer, a contract reviewer, a lead triager and a content strategist.

Your existing permissions carry over: Claude can only see and do what your own account in each tool allows. Anthropic says nothing is sent, posted or paid without your approval, and that it does not train on business data by default on the Team and Enterprise plans.
How much does Claude for Small Business cost?
Anthropic lists no separate price for the package. You pay for the Claude plan that runs it. Anthropic's install guide says you need the Claude desktop app on a Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise plan, and Cowork is not on the Free plan. Anthropic recommends Pro for a one-person business and Team for businesses with more than one person.

Yes. Anthropic offers a free on-demand course, AI Fluency for Small Business, made with PayPal. It also runs free in-person workshops in US cities. Is Claude for Small Business worth it?
It is worth testing if you already spend hours a week on admin that lives in those tools: chasing invoices, reconciling payments, sorting leads. Measure it the simple way: if one workflow saves you two hours a month and your time is worth more than $10 an hour, Pro at $20 pays for itself. If you would not use it weekly, the Free plan or a plain chat assistant may be enough. Whatever you choose, keep the human check: you approve what goes out.
