How TikTok Shop fees work in 2026
- Referral fee: 6% for most US categories, on the customer payment including buyer-paid shipping, plus any platform-funded discount, minus sales tax.
- Lower rates: 5% on five fine-jewelry sub-categories and on pre-owned items; pre-owned and collectibles pay 3% on the part of a sale above $10,000.
- No other platform fees: TikTok says the referral fee covers all TikTok Shop fees except shipping and tax, so there is no listing, monthly or payment processing fee.
- Creator commission: the rate you set, paid only on sales an affiliate creator drives.
- Refunds: TikTok keeps 20% of the refunded referral fee as an admin fee, capped at $5 per SKU per refund.
- Reports of 8%: some seller blogs reported an 8% rate from August 4, 2026; TikTok's official US table still lists 6% as of October 18, 2026. Check your rate in Seller Center.
Example
A $25 item with $5 shipping paid by the buyer (no creator): the referral fee is 6% of $30 = $1.80, so you receive $28.20 before your label and item cost. A creator at 15% would add $3.75. Read the full TikTok Shop fees guide.
Selling the same item on more apps
Listing on several marketplaces sells items faster, but copying listings by hand takes time and risks selling one item twice. A crosslisting app posts one listing everywhere and removes it when it sells: compare prices in our crosslisting app comparison.
