Frequently asked questions
How do I work out the cost of one cookie?
Add each ingredient with its package size and price, then enter how much the recipe uses and how many cookies one batch makes. The calculator adds packaging, overhead and your time and divides by the batch size.
What price does it suggest?
It divides your cost per unit by one minus your target margin. With a 50% margin, a cookie that costs $1.06 to make gets a suggested price of $2.12. You set the margin in Settings.
Can I measure in cups if I buy flour by weight?
Yes. Add grams per cup for that ingredient (all-purpose flour is about 125 g) and it converts cups and spoons to weight.
Is there a subscription?
No. You pay once on Etsy and keep the tool.
Where is my data stored?
Only in your browser, on your device. Nothing is uploaded. Use Back up to save a copy or move it to another computer.
