How do you use the cash flow template?
- Set your categoriesOn Settings, rename the cash in and cash out categories to fit your business.
- Type your opening cashOn Cash flow, type the year and the cash you had in the bank and the till on January 1.
- Enter each monthOn Actual, type the totals of each month that has passed.
- Read your runwayThe dashboard shows your closing cash and how many months it lasts. Months without data stay blank.
How do you open it in Google Sheets?
Go to sheets.google.com, choose File > Import > Upload, pick the file and choose Replace spreadsheet (or Create new spreadsheet). The formulas, dropdowns and charts keep working. In Microsoft Excel, just double-click the file.
Runway is the number of months your cash lasts if the next months look like your last 3 months with data. If more cash comes in than goes out, the dashboard says Cash flow positive instead.
